ABOUT
It all started the day I walked away from UMBC and left my college career in that dark slide show room. What I was studying was not making me happy. I felt frustrated sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day. I found my calling one Sunday, baking a cake and playing in the kitchen for hours. I wanted to bake! I set off for Boulder, CO where I attended Cooking School of the Rockies for Pastry Arts. After graduating and working at bakeries across the state, I set out to find a space so I could start my own business. After a long hunt for a property holder to trust a 25 year old girl with a dream, the shop was built. Starry Night Bakery was born into a 1,200 square foot storefront on Aug. 19, 2002. I’d bake in the morning, decorate in the afternoon, and finally felt like I was where I was supposed to be. I exchanged the desk life for an oven and a spatula…and I couldn’t be happier. Fast forward 19 years, a couple rounds on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, about a dozen shop remodels, countess amazing custom cake orders, thousands of wedding cakes, and tens of thousands of cupcakes later - I am where I am meant to be. Baking memories for you and your families everyday.
